Volunteer with us

What is Nightline?

Nightline is a listening service that is run by student volunteers solely, for students. Our aim is simple: it is to provide students a safe place to talk about anything big or small.

Here at Bath Nightline we have many volunteers to keep our service running smoothly working from 8pm to 8am, every day of the semester answering calls, IMs and emails. Additionally we have volunteers to help raise our profile so that every student is aware of, and has access to, confidential emotional peer support if needed.

We provide a completely confidential and non-judgemental service, anyone calling up and all our volunteers are kept anonymous.

Our vision

Nightline’s Vision – we want every student in higher and further education to have access to the support offered by Nightline services so that:

  • Every student can talk about their feelings in a safe, non-judgmental environment
  • Fewer students have their education compromised by emotional difficulties
  • Fewer students die by suicide
