Nightline

Service Closure
Bath Nightline was a student-run, anonymous, and confidential listening service aimed at providing a safe, non-judgmental space for students to talk about whatever was on their mind at night.
It is with a heavy heart we share that after 45 years of service, Bath Nightline has closed indefinitely as of June 2nd, 2025. This decision was not made lightly, and as a committee we met with the SU and University multiple times over many months to discuss our options and share student and volunteer feedback. Ultimately, the SU and University felt it was not feasible for them to continue to support the running of Bath Nightline following the closure of the Nightline Association. As a result, they have decided to fully close the Bath Nightline service with no peer-to-peer alternative in its place.
We appreciate this news may be alarming. If you have any questions or concerns about this closure, please get in touch with Liz and Helen in SU Advice (suadvice@bath.ac.uk). If you are an alumni volunteer and would also like to get in touch, please contact suadvice@bath.ac.uk.
If you have relied on our service in the past, please remember you are not alone and there are still resources available to you. We have linked a few of them below:
